Local Minnesota chamber executives, along with their board members, visit with U.S. Representative Michelle Bachman during the MCCE's Washington, D.C., event. The American Legion Hiring Our Heroes veterans job fair in Minneapolis had an excellent turnout with more than 60 employers offering a wide variety of positions to local servicemen and servicewomen. The event was sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce along with the Minnesota Chamber and several local chamber partners including Dakota County Regional, Edina, Fergus Falls, Litchfield, MetroNorth, Minneapolis, Owatonna and Waconia. Participants of the MCCE annual trip to Washington, D.C., held in conjunction with the U.S. Chamber Small Business Summit, pose for a photo on the rooftop of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce office. Kerry Holubar, membership director for the Brainerd Lakes Chamber, was awarded for being the top individual membership sales person for the year in her chamber budget category, selling 128 members for $45,085. She, along with some of her peers, participated in the MCCE Members Sales Excellence Award Program. Dale Barnett, chairman of the National Economics Commission; Arrie Larsen Manti, president of the Edina Chamber of Commerce; and Robert Madden, assistant director of economics at The American Legion, participated in The American Legion Hiring Our Heroes veterans job fair August 27 in Minneapolis. The event was sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and several other local chamber partners. Brad Gruhot, membership director for the SouthWest Metro Chamber of Commerce, was recognized as the top individual membership sales person for the year in his chamber budget category, selling 118 members for $42,227.  He, along with some of his peers, participated in the MCCE Members Sales Excellence Award Program.
